Melissa Viviane Jefferson, known professionally as Lizzo, is an American singer, rapper, songwriter and flutist who just unlocked a new chart-topping song titled “About Damn Time”.
“About Damn Time” is Lizzo’s first release in 2022, following a short hiatus from her previous collaborative single, “Rumors”, with rapper Cardi B. As the track’s title already suggests, Lizzo reveals her excitement and relief over releasing her long-awaited studio album through this Disco-Pop track.
The song was first revealed and teased on The Late Late Show with James Corden, which featured a snippet of the pre-chorus and chorus on March 22, 2022, and the following day Lizzo teased the first lines through a TikTok video.
