New Call For Uhuru’s Impeachment , Maraga Caught Unaware Before Picking Fight With Uhuru & Boniface Mwangi’s Crazy Idea to Bring Down Jomo Kenyatta Statue at KICC

Good morning Kenyans.

We are into the first week of the new 30 days extension of the curfew and cessation rule and business life is slowly picking up.

Life in the political world on the other side is still on the fast lane with the latest surprises and drama.

Gatundu MP Moses Kuria has been called many names in the political arena based on either his behaviour or stand on matters.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria

He is both loved and hated but mostly the latter especially by those allied to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The MP, however, on Monday pulled a first one on the President and probably became the man with the last laugh in the recent Jubilee war.

A clever Kuria opted to resign from his position in the Transport and Budget committee rather than being dismissed by the new installed Parliament Majority Whip Emmanuel Wangwae.

A week ago the controversial leader had been notified of his removal but was given seven days to explain why he should retain his seat in the committee.

This has left many wondering will the rest of the leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto facing removal from various committees deploy the Kuria tactic or will Uhuru finally have the last laugh in his purge?

Here are the news making headlines on Opera News App:

Lawyers to Rally MPs to Impeach Uhuru Over ‘Disobeying Court Orders’

The Law Society of Kenya has detailed plans to rally Members of Parliament to initiate a motion of impeachment against President Uhuru Kenyatta for his persistent blatant disregard and disobedience to court orders.

Uhuru Was to Pick Judges Next Week Before Maraga Attack

Chief Justice David Maraga was unaware President Uhuru Kenyatta was planning to appoint new judges as required before he launched a scathing attack on the head of state.

Boniface Mwangi’s Reggae Idea to Bring Down Jomo Kenyatta Statue at KICC

The death of George Floyd and the ensuing ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement in America and other parts of the world have now culminated in anti-racism protesters toppling down contentious statues in their respective countries.

Aside from the ruling party, it seems the NASA coalition is in more turmoil than ever.

Moses Wetangula has become a man under siege following the recent developments in the political scene.

Trouble started for the vocal NASA principle when ODM kicked out Chris Wamalwa from his position as Deputy Minority Whip.

Things even got worse for Wetangula when he was ousted as the leader of Ford Kenya party.

A notice from the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties stated that the changes are in the process and the final verdict will be issued soon.

This brings about two questions, Will the strong-willed Wetangula survive his party coup and is this the ultimate death of the NASA coalition?
