4. Sho Madjozi: Records were broken at the last BET Awards which was held at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.

The ceremony came as a great success as we defeated our counterparts from Europe and brought glory to South Africa.

Sho Madjozi made us proud there as she was announced as the winner of the Best New International Act category.

3. Nasty C: Upon beginning his career, Nasty C has always been making us proud. He is currently ranked as one of the best Rappers in Africa.

Nasty C has won several music awards which include the South African Hip Hop Awards and also got nominated for BET Hip Hop Award in the best international flow category. He also earned two All African Muzik Magazine Awards after going platinum on most of his singles.

2. Cassper Nyovest: What has never been achieved before in South Africa went down in just a night as Cassper Nyovest became the first African to shut down the FNB Stadium.

The stadium’s capacity is 95,000 people. Nyovest sold a total of 68,000 tickets. He fell 27,000 people short, but who cares?

Statistics showed that Ed Sheeran has been the only one to shut down the stadium with a total appearance of 135,000 people. Bringing the glory back to us this time, Cassper Nyovest bags an international achievement as the top 5 and also the first African to shut down the FNB Stadium.

1. Master KG: Heading straight above the skies, Master KG released the hit song Jerusalema to us which upon release has been hitting the world till now. The song still remains the only single in South Africa with many records and achievements on it.

Not too long, the song was recognized for reaching a cumulative of 100 million streams on Spotify with the help of Nomcebo Zikode.

As Master KG keeps making us proud, he urges South Africans to help bring home the MTV’s Best African Act Category.
